Meet Lynzi

Lynzi has been dancing since age three. She has studied many styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Cechetti, Jazz, Pointe and Hip Hop.

Lynzi has years of experience as a Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, Contemporary and Jazz dance Instructor at local dance studios. She has created multiple production numbers meshing Hip Hop with vintage musicals and movies such as, "The Wizard of Oz" and "Lion King.”

Lynzi started teaching dance at 16 years old She was the Head Coach and Choreographer for the competitive Hip Hop team, HipNotic, from 2009-2017. Lynzi led HipNotic to win the National Championship Competition in 2016 at Hershey Nationals.

Lynzi also led the competitive Hip Hop Team, Xtreme Cheer & Dance to win two Pennsylvania State Champ titles and two National titles in 2018.

Lynzi danced with the Ying Yang Twins in 2015 at a concert in Pittsburgh. Lynzi has traveled to Washington D.C. with Monsters of Hip Hop to study choreography with renowned choreographers such as: Kevin Maher, Rhapsody, L.U.A.M., Chonique, Laura Edwards, NappyTabs, B-Boy Flowmaster, Marty, Poppin' Pete and one of Beyoncé’s choreographers, Jaquel Knight.

Lynzi is also a nurse at Pyramid Healthcare.

Lynzi has dedicated her life to the art of dance and is passionate about inspiring young dancers. She uses each class as an opportunity to foster an individual’s creative expression and to impart life lessons such as respect, honesty, punctuality and kindness.

This Season Has Two Age Groups

Mondays 4:30 -5:30pm Primary Level (Ages 5-8)

Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm Secondary Level (Ages 9-12)

SIBLING DISCOUNT

Each sibling gets a 10% discount ($36/month or $288/full season)

Class Descriptions

This class consists of structure and discipline along with fun and sass. Hip Hop is an upbeat urban style of dance that is forever evolving. This high energy class consists of rap, hip-hop and pop sounds, focusing on musicality and rhythm. This class is designed to break down each move to its basic elements, so it is easy and understandable for any level student. This class will learn a strong foundation to build off of, so adding more moves and counts in the future will not be difficult. This class touches on a variety of hip hop from break-dancing to jazz funk. Across the floor combos, dance battle circles, short choreographed pieces and tricks along with much more will be worked each class. 

Dress-Code Requirements for class: sneakers, T-shirt or tank top, pants

-No jeans! Hats, headbands and bandanas acceptable.



The Fine Print

Classes are $40/month. Automatic withdrawal required unless season payment is received in full at registration.

Consistent weekly attendance is required to ensure that the students are prepared for their performance at the showcase at the end of the season.
